What does this market shift mean for buyers and seller? See the full article here Atlanta home sales dipped in May despite rise in listings .Last months prices were still up over 4%. Experts are suggesting a shift back towards a “buyers market”. This can mean lower prices and higher demands on seller concessions. These would include things like closing costs, repairs, or lower offers. Sellers shouldnt worry too much though. We can still expect days on market to be below 30 days, which is still a very aggressive number. Our days of listings selling in 8 days on market with multiple offers above asking might be over. The Atlanta market is still very strong as always.
In May the median home sold was $293,000. These numbers run higher in the actual city limits. This number is still below many first time home buyers. So lower priced homes will still move quickly.
